Mark W. Foreman Director's Grant
One of the foundation’s efforts is the creation of a Director’s Grant. This grant, given biannually, gives $1,000 to directors of community theatre productions to help fund special projects within their productions. The grant is awarded through special committee and approved by the Board of Directors.

The purpose of the director’s grant is to provide additional funds toward productions in Greater Lynchburg community theaters based on director needs and creative visions. The Foundation recognizes that funds are often limited in community theaters. Additional monies provided for qualifying directors will elevate the production and benefit the community, production volunteers, and the theater.

Mark always believed in elevating production values for the community and would often donate his personal funds towards the productions he directed. In that spirit, this grant provides an additional $1,000 to be used to boost a community theatre production at the director's discretion. Grants are awarded twice a year, in July and January, to directors of productions at nonprofit (503c) community theatres.

Grant applications for the next award will be accepted until June 30, 2024. An award decision will be made and announced by July 31, 2024.
